UsersAward wants to promote innovative IT-systems which support the development of work routines and systems which transfer the control to the end-users.

In a modern organisation the employees should take an active part in the long-term as well as the short-term development of the organisation. Unfortunately, the IT-systems at hand poorly support this. On the contrary, billions are spent on IT-systems that are incomprehensible and not fitted for the work tasks.

An active community is essential to empower the users. This community consists of the joint forces of workers' unions and consumer organisations.

UsersAward's aim is to influence system developers to provide better applications and structured implementation methods. The collaboration between users and developers will in the long run prove to give market benefits for both developers and the companies who use their products.
